We’re starting the month off on a strong note: The Red Poppy Initiative is thrilled to launch two menstrual product drives across our local school community in partnership with the nonprofit T2P2. Our mission is to collect boxes of pads and tampons to distribute to underserved individuals in our local area—ensuring everyone has access to the basic necessities for health and dignity.
In addition to these drives, we’re excited to share that we recently received a $400 grant, which will go directly toward purchasing essential menstrual supplies. These supplies will be used to assemble period kits for young womxn, with empowering stickers, pamphlets with period information, and products.
Together, we’re working to break stigmas, support one another, and empower womxn throughout our community and beyond.
In other exciting news, the Red Poppy Initiative has begun collaborating on several projects with the local legislature (more coming soon!). See some fun meeting pictures:

Meeting with Senator Wilson.

Meeting with Representative Shavers.

Meeting with Associate Director-Content, Health & Sexual Health, Lauri Dils.
